Coding week 12: GSoC 2022 with OpenMRS
It’s been 12 weeks since coding weeks started on 13 June 2022 making this the last week of coding. It’s been a great summer thanks to Google and OpenMRS. This week I started getting prepared for the final evaluation. Here the last week’s update to catch up. I don’t have much of an update this week since it’s mostly wrapping up the work.
Final Evaluation
OpenMRS require contributors to complete ALL of the following requirements before mentors begin their evaluations on September 8, 2022. This includes the following,
- Video presentation for the project( 5 minutes)
This is a short (3–5 min) video that describes and demos the project that I worked on - Prepare a single shareable document with your project work (12 weeks of work)
As part of the final evaluation, we will be asked to provide a document link to the work we’ve done for the program by Google. - Final presentation Talk post
- Update Project Wiki Page
Drug Order filter issue
The drug order filter was not working even though I fixed it in a previous issue. Later I found that the problem is a version mismatch. So I sent a fix for that one as well.
Update Project wiki page
I finished documenting every detail of the project on the project wiki page. It’s missing the final presentation which I will include once it’s done. You can find the wiki page below,
I gained a lot of experience in the past three months. Not only I improved my coding but I improved other skills like documentation and communication. Stay tuned for the final evaluation process article next week I will talk about everything regarding my GSoC project in detail.
Just like that, the last week of coding came to an end. I’m looking forward to the final evaluation by next week. Don’t forget to check out my other articles as well. See you guys at the next one. Until then stay safe! ✌️
